JEM RANKIN
PRODUCER
Jem is an experienced filmmaker who has worked as a producer, director, and editor on narrative, music videos and multi-platform content. Graduating from Victorian College of the Arts in 2014, Jem travelled the international festival circuit with his short film "Cherokee" playing most prominently at Tribeca Film Festival in 2016.
He's worked as a producer with Mushroom Music on multiple Music Videos and online content for bands including Slum Sociable, Dan Sultan and Paul Kelly. But most recently, Jem has been working in the education sphere (for the past 2 and a half years in fact), where he's been creating short form documentary stories for Catholic Education Melbourne, focusing on capturing inspiring stories of teacher practice and student experience.
At it's core, Jem is passionate about stories regardless of the platform. There's always a way to elevate a concept, or the approach to content production, and Jem has that perfect blend of commercial x narrative experience to produce just that!
